At Yotta Energy, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the information obtained through our Installer application. By installing and using our Installer application, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect
1.1 Account information: email address and authentication identifiers (Cognito)

1.2 Location information: device location when you use Connect to Site / nearby site search (when-in-use permission)

1.3 Installation and site data: Site selection, site info, module map coordinates, inverter and battery assignments, device serial numbers, optional equipment (gateways, meters, access points), and related configuration sent to our servers.

1.4 Device / app data: standard technical data needed to operate the service (e.g. API requests, session tokens).

Use of Collected Information
2.1 Account information: Login and keep your session secure; verify that you are an authorized installer for your organization; control access to customer sites and installation data tied to your account.

2.2 Location information: When you use Connect to Site, find and rank nearby customer sites and show distance — only while you use that feature and only with your when-in-use permission; we do not use location for advertising or unrelated tracking.

2.3 Installation and site data: Store and display the sites you work on; save site info, module map layout, inverter and battery assignments, device serial numbers, and optional equipment placement; keep installation topology and configuration available to your organization for field work and record-keeping.

2.4 Device / app data: Send and receive API requests; authenticate calls to our cloud services; maintain app security and reliability; diagnose technical problems.

Camera and NFC
3.1 Camera: Used only when you choose barcode scan to read a serial number; image data processed on device for decoding; serial string is what the app sends to the service.

3.2 NFC: used only when you choose NFC to read a serial from an equipment tag; serial used for installation assignment.

How information is shared

·       Hosting / infrastructure providers (e.g. cloud services) under appropriate agreements

  • Within your organization’s Yotta/BIA tenant as part of normal installer operations

  • When required by law

  • No sale of personal information
